The North Side's Roscoe Village is both quaint and bustling, a refuge and in the heart of the city. Gardens in rows in front of brownstones, vintage three-story walkups, and duplexes coexist alongside renovated luxury lofts and store-top apartness and new construction, including larger single-family homes. From Retro on Roscoe to Roscoe Village Burger Fest, festivals and events bring the Roscoe Village community together. Fellger Playlot in the southeast corner is a family favorite. On the east side, Clark Park on the river's border features a reimagined amusement park now with a dock, a dirt-bike course, and a sports field. Hamlin Park, just south of the neighborhood, has well-regarded programming and outdoor space. On evenings and weekends, Roscoe Village residents have a wide range of brunch and bar options with a vibrant food and drink scene. Fitness studios, boutiques, cafés, taverns occupy storefronts, or unique to Roscoe Village, repurposed factories. Long-established places like Dinkel's Bakery and Paulina Market make even everyday errands at independent businesses more fun. Two Brown Line stops are in Roscoe Village's west side, and many bus stops and highway access give commuters options for downtown access.
